JUST A VIBRATION
This BASCA British Composer Award 2016 winning project by Shri brings together two distinct and diverse musical forms: Indian classical music and the traditional brass band. This exciting musical collaboration blends contemporary Indian music and brass arrangements and, in the process, creates a brand new musical vocabulary.
Just A Vibration features Hammonds Saltaire band, Jasdeep Singh Degun on sitar, Marc Layton-Bennett on drum kit along with Shri on bass, flute and bolis (spoken tabla) and arranged with saxophonist Ben Castle.
